Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Fenix Media Pty Ltd t/a The Short Cut · theshortcut.com.au. By using our website, member portal or services, you agree to them.

We provide done-for-you short-form video editing (Edit Partner), full-service content production (Content Partner), and the Academy. You film footage on your phone using our briefs; we edit and deliver finished videos.

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Paid packages are billed monthly in advance via Stripe, in AUD and ex GST unless stated. Packages are month-to-month, cancel with 30 days' notice; you keep access until the end of the paid period.

Prices may change with reasonable notice. Foundation Members founder rates are honoured as described at signup.

Each deliverable includes two rounds of revisions. Further changes beyond the included rounds are quoted separately.

You own your raw footage and the finished videos we deliver. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to use finished work in our own marketing (attributed, tasteful), opt out any time.

You confirm you have the rights and consents for everything you upload, including any people who appear in it.

Don't upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content, and don't misuse or attempt to disrupt the service.

The service is provided with reasonable care but 'as is'. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous month. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
