This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, member portal and services, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Account details you give us, name, venue, email address, and the password you set (stored hashed, never in plain text).

Content you upload, footage, brand files and messages you send through the portal.

Payment information, handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card details.

Usage information, basic logs and analytics needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

To provide the service, produce your videos, run your account, and communicate with you about your projects.

To take payment for subscriptions and services.

To improve and secure the product, and to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Trusted providers who help us run the service: Supabase (accounts + database), Cloudflare R2 (file storage), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email). Each only receives what they need to do their job.

Editors working on your projects, who are given time-limited access to the specific footage and brief for your job.

Authorities, where we are legally required to.

Your finished videos

You own your raw footage and finished videos. We keep a non-exclusive right to show finished work in our own marketing, tastefully and with attribution, you can opt out by contacting us.

Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Access to your footage and brand kit is controlled by row-level security and time-limited editor access.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by emailing dan@theshortcut.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
